My daughter needed a masquerade mask on really short notice, and since I was too lazy to run to town… here is what we came up with.
I cut the shape of a mask out of paper and test fit it to her face. (sorry no pic, but pretty simple)
Then I drew the mask on the side of an old oil bottle (fairly thick plastic in this case) 
I cut it out and spray painted it silver then decorated with gems, glitter and random stuff from around the house.
I cut two small holes at the side and threaded ribbon in them to hold it on her head.
Voila, a beautiful mask for free!
